Default Smell of diesel...

Hello everyone,

I have a 2012 v50, 1.6 drive with 78k and runs fine except for 2 problems,

As it gets warmish after about a mile I can smell diesel in the car, worse if I open the door and if driving slowly in a traffic in say second gear it gets pretty smelly. No leaks that I can see, I changed the fuel filter about 2k miles ago.

Also coming up to a corner and going round on light throttle it tugs and jerks like taking your foot on and off the pedal.

Any advice please?

Also have been thinking about the vida/dice for checking out codes etc' where is the best place to get one?

Thanks very much, om.

Leaking injector seal? Usually pretty obvious if you remove the engine cover and check the injector bases for blow-by products.

I just had a similar issue with my 2.0d V50 (smell of fuel when hot), which turned out to be a leak from corroded unions on the fuel leak off/return pipes Might be worth having a look there too.
