Default Rear fog light

I’ve got the
bulb failure...Rear fog light message...
So went and bought a new bulb.... changed and still not working, checked both fuses that mentioned fog lights from the handbook....
Also I turn the rear fog light switch to on and it turns the message off, fog light still not working.... turn the switch off and message re appears....
Anyone ? It’s burning my head out...

Cheers
Lee

Just because the bulb is new, it does not mean it is OK! Test it separately.

The bulb socket is prone to corrosion.... multimeter is your friend here.

Classic signs of poor bulb contact in the bulb socket.
Ensure the socket is clean and dry, and ensure the contacts are mating with good tension.
Clean up any oxidation, dirt and corrosion.
Especially the center contact can weaken. Tighten it up with a bit of bending.

So I bought the rear fog light loom from Volvo, fit it and still not working, tried 2 bulbs, changed fuse 30 in the rear which says rear fog light in the manual, still got the rear fog light bulb failure message, but when I press the button the message disappears....?
Is there anything else I can try...? It’s really burning my head out....

Thanks Lee
