V70 D5 Not Starting
Hi,
Ok since I got my 2006 V70 D5 it's been a slow starter when cold, when warm it's fine but in the last two days it got worse and now nothing. Battery is good and all lights electrics seem fine. When I turn the key I hear relays followed by a click and nothing? Where do I start to investigate? Many thanks |

as cold will really knock down any battery if on its way out, and would give slow turn over, Dave |

I will test it with a multimeter though to double check. |

Get a jump lead and connect it from the bracket on the alternator to a good earth on the car, one of the strut bolts usually ok, and see if that makes any difference. If it does, your earth strap is broken or high resistance.
If not, possibly a starter motor problem? |

Turns out it was the starter motor, took a while to remove the rusty bolts but all good in the end, strong cranks now
