Get one from Volvo they are about £40,
they are adjustable you adjust them by loosening the nut and turning the bolt, the one near the centre of the car, if you look there should be some marckins there, but yours is beyond that,
good you have found it,
Dave
In the meantime, is it possible to straighten it do you think?

I live in Pontypool but work in Bristol so I'll be driving to Bristol in the morning with it like this ... getting two new tyres and then driving back to Pontypool before I can do anything!

There is a concentric washer and a stop on the arm for adjustment,
some have said that there car has been pulled out of a ditch by a recovery service, buy the arm, when you fit the new one and go to get it set up, insist that they do it spot on, not just in the green with there aligner, as the car needs these set correctly or the steering wheel will be of and the car will steer its self from the rear,
I have fitted IPD usa arms,

Yes you could try ,
Have you got a blow lamp so you can get them hot, as they are folded when they are made so they may not bend back that well
cut some wood to fit in the space to stop it collapsing and use a vice to bend it back,,

order the new one in the morning from Volvo as most Volvo garages don't hold much, but they will get them by 3pm the same day,
Dave

I did look at he IPD arms but thought I need to get this thing sorted before I go upgrading. It looks like there is a possibility that this might also be causing my 'Anti Skid Service Required' warning to be on!

I'll pick one up from Volvo tomorrow and get it fitted ASAP.

Thanks a lot for your help, Dave.

Hi I think yours will have as it is a 2006,
mine is only a 2002 D5 so only abs on the front,

UPDATE: Toe adjustment arm purchased and fitted to car. I guessed the adjustment so took it to the garage for a four wheel alignment. He said rear was spot on and front needed tweaking.

How close are these numbers? I don't really understand what is good and what is poor, although I understand the terms camber and toe.

Hi that is brill, all of the settings are very good,
I can not believe how well you got the setting when you fitted the new arm,
how much was the new arm, was I correct ,
when I fitted the ipd ones I sold the Volvo ones on ebay £45 for the two,
I bet it feels like a new car now,
Dave

You were bang on with the cost. £40.

It was luck ... I just fitted it not really thinking of it being right or not. To be honest it had to be better than the bent arm on there!

Steering wheel is straight and it doesn't feel like it's 'wondering', if that makes sense. It wasn't pulling to side just had a sensation of wondering ligh a loose steering wheel!

Going to be fitting pads and disc on back at weekend then I'll start to feeling the real car come through. Cheers, you been a great help.
