Default What kind of price does a T4 CD go for?

I have an '98R S40 T4 CD with full specification (Beige Leather heated seats, a/c, 16" Crater + spoiler, CD etc etc) in Metallic Pacific Blue with 40,000 miles. Completely unmodified. FVSH

I bought it from Main Dealer (Exeter) just under 2 years ago for £14,500 (Ouch!) but did get a 2 year warranty :-)
The thing is, I'm thinking of selling it, but Im not going to sell it for the £6k that Ive seen some selling at.

There's not many about to compare, and book prices vary hugely, so I have no idea.

If its not likely that I could get about £8-9k for it, I shall forget about changing my car. I love it, I just fancy a convertible right now ;-)

Ta very much

OK, Just in case anyone was interested, visited the garage, and apparantly the trade price was £4750 - £5000 (Ouch!)

So I guess Im gonna keep it. I cant believe that it was that low!

I'll have to save the pennies and get a C70 convertible as well!!! (yeah right!)

You don't fancy a Merc CLK320 convertible do you?
My Dad has lost his job - he has a Mint Y reg 15ishk miles, silver, leather, climate!, elec roof, 6CD, etc, etc
serviced by Merc, loved by my Dad! He's looking to get a car just like yours to pay off the bank loan on the Merc...only problem is nobody does a reasonable trade in. He wanted £28K for it, but garages only offer £25-£26k to trade down. It cost £40k 18 months ago! I'm sure, if you were interested, he would consider a 'private trade in sale' that would work out loads better for both of you...If the T4 is in sound condition!

Its a very long shot, I know - but let me know - if you were interested, I'm sure you could arrange a meeting to view each others cars, and if satisfied, take it from there!

I could give him my car and a few grand!!!

Sorry - and good luck, I guess I know how your dad feels and as somebody helpfully said on the forum somewhere "cars lose a lot of money" - yeah!
