Default 310 hp 850r chip?

Hi all,

Thinking about chipping my R.

I have fitted a MBC - made a big difference - but ECU is cutting fuelling on hard acceleration due to boost pressure exceeding factory limits.

Has anybody fitted the chip - stage 3, 310 hp - that is available on ebay to their car?

Price is very reasonable...but does require soldering skills!

All advice and experience most welcome.

Cheers.

Lots to consider when re mapping, is it an auto or manual, state of the engine, mileage, stage 0 tune, brakes? Do you have a boost gauge? What boost are you running with the MBC? 14-15 psi is about the limit, If the ecu's cutting the fuel you're in danger of making you're engine go pop or bending a con rod, if its an auto even more so. Get a decent remap (RICA/MTE) I don't know about the eBay chips so I can't comment but from experience if you're not sure about something don't put it on your car, yes they seem cheap in the short term but you can pick a RICA ECU for £100 with the chip fitted if you keep looking. Hope this helps.

just so you know 310bhp is not acheivable with a chip, you get more like 270bhp
