Having had my DIM repaired by Lukas at Volvo Diagnostic, I can honestly say that paying him £70 plus carriage my way is probably the safest (cheap) bet. |

Had mine done a couple of years ago by my local volvo specialist for about £200 plus postage.
It was a bit strange because it only started playing up immediately after I had the fuel pump replaced. |

HI every one just joined the form after getting a 2002 V70D5 I know it an old car but it in very good condition.
One of the issues I have noticed is the DIM display does not show anything it is illuminated and every thing else is working in the instrument cluster. Is there any thing I can try before thinking of looking see if it worth getting it fixed. If it just not displaying any thing I think I may just leave it be. Any advice please. . |

UK9876 - remember to disconnect the battery before you remove the DIM - this will avoid getting a false SRS warning that will need to be reset for the MoT.

It would seem that doing anything with the electrics that is related to the Can Bus system should have the battery disconnected to avoid the dreaded SRS message.

Hi all.
I reworked my yazaki ic next to the white relay looking box and the capacitor, in doing so I managed to get my clocks up and running, now all I need to know is where to rework so that I can get my information display to work, the light does come on and I have seen it work when the temp was approximately 10c. Any ideas ? Cheers |
