V70: Stereo/SatNav/Phone - AUX in 2010 V70?

Hi,

I am just about to buy my first Volvo! It is a 2010 V70 SE. What I would like to know is if all 3rd Gen V70s have an aux input for the stereo? I was thinking of buying a Bluetooth aux dongle to play music from my phone through the stereo but wasn’t sure if it would have a 3.5mm jack aux connection or not. Can anyone tell me if it will have the connection and if this will work?

Don’t know if they all do or if it’s trim/audio level specific. However mines got a USB input that plays through the aux channel.

The Owners Manual indicates that an aux socket is standard across the V70/XC70 range, but to be sure you could of course ask the vendor of the V70 to check that it is present. It is located at the rear of the centre console storage compartment.

A Bluetooth aux adapter will work well. I use one in my 2010 XC70. The adapter is plugged into the aux port and gets its power from the adjacent USB port. Both sockets are near the top of the compartment, so I use a short 3.5mm extension cable to allow the Bluetooth adapter to sit on the base of the compartment where it's clear of the lid and less likely to get damaged.
