magdrop New Member Last Online: Aug 17th, 2009 21:39 Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: cambridge	1998 V40 TD smokes on start and bad miss-fire Help please Hi all, I've had my V40 for about 4 months and it seems to have been a bad buy. Every time I start the engine, I fill the street with white smoke and the engine runs like a sack of s*&t until its warm. Once warm it seems to run OK, cruises quite happy at any speed, fuel consumption 500 + to a tank on a run, but every now and again it seems to miss at low engine speed. Can any of you kind people help, New glow plugs, cleaned and checked injectors ( good spray pattern), pump timing, compresion check. The garage are at a bit of a loss and its costing me a fortune. Any ideas. Cheers in advance, magdrop
