NatHLM, please stop PM-ing me. If you have anything to say then feel free to say it out in the open.

It may be an idea to read the posts thoroughly before you react!!!!

So Bobcat you get all heated up about if VT solder their chips in and you are happy that SW tell you nothing about their ecu modifications, if they produce their own software or some other companies and does this company know that their software is being used?

I think this comment and Matts before it, serves to illustrate that no one commercial poster is any better than anyone else here.
'VT won't do this or that' is all we hear, but then no info with any real content is posted by any other tuner either.
Only thing is, certain tuners can post commercially on here to their hearts content, under the auspices of an apparently set in stone 'commercial posting policy', and others cannot.

The truth is constantly skirted around and vagueness and rhetoric is spouted.

I say PLEASE ban all commercial parties posting on the forum, and give it back to the normal users/members to argue points and exchange information like they used to.
Whenever a tuner posts it is always with the underlying intent to make a sale and by definition that means it isn't truely objective information. (Of course it is, you all have a business to run, and if all you did was offer 'friendly advice' you wouldn't make much of a living would you?)

I have a RICA map and think it is great, but I get the distinct impression that if I decided to attend on of 'the most popular in the UK' performance meets, I would be railroaded and cajoled into changing to MTE. That is not a good way to feel and why I haven't been to a CB meet for a while. Plus, you guys don't want to upset my other half, trust me.

One thing I want to know is, does this kind of inter-tuner back biting happen on other boards? VW? Audi? Subaru?

Be interesting to know.

Later,
Dan.

who says swauto's havent told me what they are gonna do to my car? but lets just say the rica wont be in the car for much longer.

I will know full well what will be happening to my car, just take wednesday when me and siamblue were up there getting his turbo fitted. we were allowed free walkabout of the workshop and were able to chat and see exactly what he was doing, and what parts he used (all genuine volvo nuts and studs, not the ones VT uses). SW has a policy of honesty and transparency, so in this case i cant see how you can compare to volvotuning.

Wow, I am sure the HSE would have a field day if they knew that!! Not to mention his insurers. Have you got public liabilty cover for any mishap that may befall a customer in your workshops then Stuart?

I have never known a garage that will accept liability for the potential injury of a member of the public in their workshops.
Good on ya, I would love to wonder around at the main dealers, but they tell me on no uncertain terms, You are not allowed in the workshop.

Dan.

Surely that sentiment applies to anyone posting here then? Or does it just not include VT?
Also it illustrates my various points admirably. Thanks.

Dan Do you not think there is a difference between Mcdonalds and a Aberdeen Steak house?
I would also like to state how many people have had accidents with a Rica'd car and not disclosed it( as it is undetectable ) then fraudulently made a claim in a accident? deception is a severe offence.
