Anti Skid service required message
Got a message today on the DIM "Anti skid system - service required" today
The car has DSTC, an 06 S60, i noticed some posts suggesting the fault might be linked to the CEM?, something about seals and water leaking into it? Is the CEM in a different place on the facelift S60's (post 05)? Any suggestions welcome ! |

i believe that the CEM on our later ones is accessed via the black cover that the wipers protrude through, outside the car at the back of the bonnet. I seem to recall a faulty seal or gaiter as being responsible. I believe that this could also be caused by a faulty/dirty ABS sensor and the front nearside is often the culprit. Worth a try cleaning it first as it's easily accessed. I have also had this message last year when driving through some slush but it cleared itself after a short while. My guess was that rubbish ie snow had been thrown onto this sensor Darryl

Sensor or CEM?
Thanks, was driving in some very wet weather last w-e so i guess it could be either, as you say the wheel sensor was my first thought, according to dr haynes the module is somewhere near the wiper linkage needing to remove the wiper arms? to get to it? Interesting to hear the message clears itself, never seen it before on mine..

Its gone :)
Gave the car a wash, and squirted some water around the front hub, then noticed when moving the car the message has disappeared (back to the 'no message' one anyway, which im rather pleased to see!) which would lead me to think the dirt or something on the wheel sensor theory must be right
