Thats a proper Volvo one, Is it the end thats rotted out? I had one in very similar condition, the end had rotted away, leaving a hole. I welded a patch of 2mm steel over the end and ground it all smooth- it looked better than new! A local welder could do the same for you for £10 or so I would imagine.

I think you are right, welding it up is probably the best bet, I've been chasing around all over the place with no luck.

I have a original Volvo Towbar from a 1993 240 SE that i broke.
The towball can swivel underneath the car so that it is not protuding. You can kinda see pictures of it here. Has all the fixings etc in a bag with it. £25 |
