Geartronic Box

We are about to purchase or first caravan we are hoping to use our existing car for towing.
It’s a XC70 Geartronic would anyone have info about towing with Geartronic.

Hi,

I tow with a V70 D5 Geartronic, and basically put it into D and let it do the work. I make use of the kickdown for building up speed, and then back off so it settles into top. Its not often I feel the need to manually change gear, other than on a downward incline to help hold the speed, or to select the right gear in anticipation of overtaking. I see no reason your XC70 should be much different, and I get around 30mpg when towing.

i have an xc90 geartronic.i,ve only ever used the geartronic once to see how it worked.just use the normal auto box functions and you will have no problem.my last five towcars have been volvo auto,s and have all been excellent.
