Default 'Induction pipe on non turbo' ?

Hello, forgive me if this is a silly question, but I'm wondering can somebody clarify what the thin pipe in my 2008 s40 1.6 petrol, which is labelled as 'induction pipe' in Vida is for ? The engine is non turbo.

It seems to run from the top of the center of the engine to just below the air filter housing. There is also a sensor going in here, is this part of the EVAP system ?

Thanks, Michael.

Still needs air...and relies on the air filter, so still has an induction system overall turbo or non turbo, it will no doubt be measuring the air coming in to the ECU to do the fuel air ratio mix.

This isn't the main air intake coming from the filter housing though, this is a smaller pipe, looks like an intercooler pipe or something maybe ?

Michael.

it is to give the engine warm air from the radiator or exhaust manifold when low out side temp ect.
