I replaced the box with a good friend of mine (mechanic) not long ago, the mount looked ok at the time and the car has hardly done any miles since then but I will have another look to make sure.

There goosed without question but as I can still select all the gears without problem, that's a job for another day!!!! The Gear lever has always been like stirring rice pudding but has never jumped around with acceleration before!! I has holding the gear knob.... (don't!!!) in second gear and felt it move a fair amount.... (again, don't) when I took my foot off the accelerator and again when I booted it. I don't remember the car ever doing that before??

Right, time for a quick update!!
Have now had the car back on the road for a couple of months and I am pleased to report the work I have done so far is FAULTLESS!!!!!!!!!! Heater matrix and lower hose from gatos spot on!! P2 brakes from gatos described as "1 week old", methinks he lies!! MUCH BETTER THAN 1 WEEK OLD BRAKES!!!! They are awesome!! I have never known a car stop this good!!!!!!!! T4 Indicators from pacman67, Looking GOOD!!!!! However, it is not all good news!! Since getting the car back on the road, a lot of dash bulbs have decided that 170,000 miles is more than enough and they have decided to retire!! Also, I have noticed the rear brake calipers are now binding and require replacement. (I had my suspicions when I replaced the rear pads at the same time as the gear box. They were binding then but knowing the front calipers were knackered, I was hoping that would cure the problem!!). There is a water coming in from above the drivers seat somewhere, possible sunroof leaking or a blocked water channel?? I have also noticed the car is "wondering" on the road, still to do a proper diagnosis, I feel the problem is coming from the rear of the car, maybe bushes or something??

Done a bit of work to the ovloV tonight, we got the grille sprayed black and to say I am pleased with the job my mate has done is a massive understatement!!
Also, I have added a couple of Monster Energy stickers as they are the official sponser of the TT this year and I am getting into the spirit of things!!
