Default Inputting POI’s via USB to Sensus

I have a 2020 XC60 Inscription. I’m trying to find a way to input a set of favourite destinations into the Sensus Navigation system via a USB stick. I’ve got a GPX file on the USB stick. The online manual implies it possible but then refers me to the Sensus manual which doesn’t help.

I’ve found various items online which imply this should be possible and indeed instruction on how to do it on an earlier version of Sensus but I can’t find any way to actually do it on my version of Sensus.

Has anyone managed this, if so how?

Thanks.

Hi Nigel,

AFAIK is isn't possible to import favourite destinations from a USB stick into Sensus Navigation.

It IS possible to update the maps via USB, which would include (Volvo specified) POIs, but not favourites.

Importing favourites and your own POIs used to be possible with older Volvo satnav systems but sadly the Volvo satnav system has been significantly 'dumbed down' over the years.

Hello Techwatcher,

Thank-you for your quick reply, that was more or less the conclusion I’d come to, but I was living in hope! A pity the Sensus is less useable than I was hoping.

Thanks again.

Yep that’s one thing I miss from my MK 1 XC60. Used to use Pocketgps for cameras and points of interest etc.

You can though send destinations to your car from the VOC app via the maps page, just go to a point on the map and you have an option to send to car. Its is the easiest way of adding a detination the the Sensus navigation.
