Default Connection a Samsung S10 to V90

Good morning,

Try as I might I can't connect my mobile to the car, I have had the car, a 2017 V90, for 3-4 months now and at first all was well and connected as I entered the car. I didn't have to keep changing settings on my mobile every time and all was good.
Now around 3 weeks ago, around the time I updated to the latest maps, I haven't been able to connect to spotify.
And last night on my way home from work I received a few text messages, these would normally be read out from the car. Once on the drive way I checked and the car system says I need to alter settings on my mobile to allow this feature. It was working last week and nothing has changed.
Going into the car settings for my phone all options for calls, messages, internet etc are ticked.

Does anyone connect with a Samsung S10 and what needs changing on the phone?

Richard

Go to your phone settings/connections/bluetouth, make sure that your phone is paired then go in my volvo settings and make sure that messaging and contacts are turned on.

Cheers nu11eaf, all those checked and in order, but with 're checking again...... The hotspot and internet sharing were turned off on my mobile. Don't know how as I never altered any settings.
Will see how it goes on over the next week.

Cheers Richard

My Iphone when it updates, sometimes turns off the hot spot on the phone.

Hi Wispyone. I had this same issue with my S10e until I realised that Android phones annoyingly switch off bluetooth tethering if you restart or use airplane mode. I was getting fed up with re-doing each time, then a helpful forum member recommended downloading the Blue Car Tethering app on the Play Store which forces the phone to stay tethered. The phone will occasionally tell you it is causing high battery usage, but in reality it doesn't seem to do so.
