Default Euro version?

What euro version engine do I have?

Its a 2012 v60 d5 2.4 diesel. I keep seeing euro 4, 5 6 and was wondering what mine actually is?

Yours is almost certainly an E5. E6 would be 2014 at the earliest. There are a number of websites where you can check, e.g. HPI have one but it is not accurate as it reports my car as E4 when it is actually E3.

The best way of checking for E6 is use the TFL ULEZ check, if it is E6 it will show car is compliant, if not it predates E6 - https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/driving/che...-vehicle-35896

Although that isn't the full story as Euro 6 has a number of different revisions as the original was a farce in the real world with cars only passing in lab tests hence why Volvo had to start using ad blue to comply with Euto 6 Dtemp.

hrmm, my car is euro 5 but shows as compliant for ULEZ, which I thought was odd as its a 2014.

I'm pretty sure a 2012 D5 will be Euro 5, newer cars show on the dvla site for checking tax/mot but older ones don't, its annoying there is no quick simple check for it, at least I haven't found one

I'm trying to find out for the congestion charges that are due to come in in Birmingham. So all info is helpful. I'll have a look this evening when I can finally sit down and relax..... Maybe.... 😂
