on my D5 there is said plate which is as you say loads of figures, the towball hitch weight is 85kg but the car is only 75kg so you go with the car stats, there is also 2000kg this weight is the maximum that the towbar can take.

On my tow bar non Volvo it states the max ic 75Kg & I'm sure it states that in the handbook but don't have the book to hand at the moment can check it for tomorrow if you want
