Default Wing mirror not working

It seems as though the motor which adjusts the up/down part of the drivers side wing mirror is dead. There is no movement nor can i hear the motor operating. I have taken the whole thing apart as far as i can but it looks like you can’t easily get to the motors or if you can you will struggle to get it together again. Had a quick look on eBay and its over £100 for a replacement mirror which is far more than i want to spend especially as the rest of it is fine condition.
I not sure that any breaker is going to be happy to sell me just the adjuster part. Any thoughts on how to proceed besides just moving the glass by pressing it.

I have had exactly the same failure for years. As I am the only one who drives the car, I have ignored it.

Volvo sells some internal parts for the mirror.

It may be the motor, or it may be the XY sensor, or it may be a broken wire or corroded connectors.

Use VIDA to figure out exactly what is faulty.
