Well an update on my rear lights ..... I cannot get the cloudyness out of them , I have tried all sorts on them . Only way forward is a replacement pair ...... but at what price ?

Well I got a price for a new pair .... good job I was sitting down lol . Could probably get a complete car for the price on them lol .

I have the same problem on my facelift 740. as you said, new ones are too dear and even second hand ones seem to be way beyond what I'm prepared to pay.
I tried cutting them back, no good. what DOES seem to work is Halford's spray on tyre shine (comes in a hand-pump bottle) but obviously it will need redoing every so often as you'll be washing it off when you clean your car. good enough to pass an MOT tho
