Default Rear Brake Pad replacement on V40 D3 2012

Hi,

Does anyone have a guide or manual for rear brake pad replacement on a Volvo V40 2013? I suspect that you need a 7mm Allen key to loosen the caliper retaining bolts any other tools i need?

Regards,

You need a caliper piston windback tool.... this is to push and twist the piston back to reset the automatic handbrake adjustment system.

It's sometimes possible to wind them back using basic tools (mole grips, long nose pliers) but it's really not worth the hassle - the tools are £15-£20 on Amazon and E-Bay.

Why not get Vida? It contains the full procedure including pictures and also covers every other job you'll ever need to do.
