You won't need a bigger fuse as they are just switches so don;t increase load.
I'm interested in your conversion to dual circuit brakes. I presume the aim would be to split the brakes front and rear, or diagonally across the axles?
I'm interested as I wanted to look at this as a lot of VW owners do this but I'm worried about brake imbalance especially when split diagonally.
The later dual circuit brakes, did the calipers have two tappings for each circuit?

Yes it would be a front rear split.

There are a number of RX7 MCs i've gone for one with a slightly narrower bore than the amo one so that I get slightly longer pedal travel and can bin the servo.
It will be a front rear split.

I believe the orginal twin cicuit setup was dual pipes so a bit of a nightmare retro fit (I stand to be corrected if wrong).

If you are interested can dig up part numbers.

Not too worried about brake light being super quick, as the guy behind always has better brakes than me anyway, it's the guy in front I have to watch.

Default Switch model

Never mind I figured it out! Thank you all for posting this. Helped me out.
I bought switch for a Volvo 140 for my Amazon from here:
https://vp-autoparts.com/en/artiklar...SABEgIOtvD_BwE

But when I mounted it similar to the bracket you made. It brakes when pedal not pressed and light goes out when I press pedal.
Did I buy wrong style switch?

In addition to his very useful website, Ron's kits offer effective solutions to known issues like snapping keys (starter button kit), sagging seats (spring suspension kit) and the dodgy hydraulic brake switch (switch and bracket kit). All are straightforward and elegant in their simplicity. I've got 'em all.

Something is reversed. Maybe the wiring, the switch or even the way the bracket is mounted.

Knowles;

Welcome to this forum!

I've been off-line and am just catching up now...

That PN does not sound correct for the switch necessary! It does sound like that 679364 switch may be a Normally Open (NO) switch (where when the button is not depressed, there is no connection, verifiable with an Ohm Meter or Continuity beeper), and that is not what is required for a Pedal Position Monitoring Brk Lt Sw. The switch should be an Normally Closed (NC) type, (PN 3544691) and it should be located appropriately, such that button is depressed and contacts are open when Pedal is at rest.

Derek; I don't see any way miswiring could result in these (reversed function) symptoms...locating the switch incorrectly maybe...but I don't see how that might even be possible...I'm thinking he is dealing with a(n incorrect!) NO switch here...let's see what Knowles reports back...

@CSM; Tnx as always for reference and recommendations!

Good Hunting!

Sounds reasonable Ron. A knee jerk response on my part!
