Some great replies guys and a lot of different opinions, I love it. I didn't realize that there are so many different types of C70s with so many different mods, it looks like there is a lot more research for me to do just yet. I see that there are so many pros and yet so little amount of cons which is always a good thing when buying a car.
I am going to go out and test drive a few of these and have a look out for some of the point's you guys have made above. I will be back soon with the outcome. Thanks EDIT: In terms of pricing what should I be looking at for a 2013 C70. I use this site most of the time http://www.for-sale.co.uk/volvo-c70 but as you guys will be able to see there is quite a bit of price variation. Last edited by BenV; Aug 14th, 2017 at 07:38. |

I have an 06, and I also have an Aux in, but its located on the side part of the storage compartment behind the waterfall dash. Its also the Dynaudio, so not sure if its on the models without the top-end audio system.

My '08 has an aux input in the middle, and my colleagues '07 has it in the same place as the '06 model described above. One of the changes for the '08 MY was the ability to play MP3 and WMA files off CDs in the changer.

I would agree that the T5 is a bit heavy on fuel around town but less of an issue on motorways or just wafting around B road lanes but it is a great engine so I would ask if this is to be your only car, if it is you might prefer the diesels. The only real vice I have come across is the need to keep an eye on the 2 belts that power the alternator/Air con since if you lose one it can take out the cam belt and hence engine. I have just DIY changed all three with tensioners since a squeek had started and I didn't want it to get any worse !
Yes this is a heavy car but Volvo claimed 7.0 secs 0-60 for the manual t5 and 149 mph so it certainly goes. |

do it!
Had my '08 T5 model for a year. Had a few niggles but nothing major.
T5 is not a beast but if you switch the Anti Skid system off (a simple press of a button) it does become a lot like you would wish a T5 to be. Check for spare tyre as they are not standard (foam kit) I bought a full space saver jack etc on fleebay for £110...... Check aircon as it may need re-gassed, go for the premium sound system it's one of the best. |
