Hi guys

Hope you can help. My muffler is rather mottled, and a bit dull. Tried autosol, no joy. Had a look at looks like it just bolts on, question is what would u replace with? Seen loads on ebay, but wonder if anyones done this?

The original tip looks so much better than a lot of the chav ones on the likes of ebay in my opinion.

There is just one pinch bolt that holds it on so should be easy enough to loosen the screw and remove - may need a little easing oil and 'seesawing' to loosen.

Once off clean up with autosol applied with fine wire wool. The stainless will end up matt , but rub the wire wool in straight lines so all the scratches are parallel. Once it is matt and blemishes have been removed, it can be polished with just autosol to a mirror finish. I did mine by hand, but if you had a small polisher mop on a dremel it would be so much faster.
