Not easy, as I live in a flat.
Would need to take the car to my sons house.

Spoke to the Service Dept this morning and explained what I thought may be the problem and they are going to check, to see if a replacement battery is available, should it be required.

Made it to the dealers yesterday.

Warranty Report:
Total system upgrade required as per Technical Journal (Jcbrown mentioned this in post #10).

But:
A new amber warning after system upgrade: “Tyre presseue system Service required”.
Car is still with the dealers, the plus side, they gave me a brand new V90 R-Design, with only 10 miles on the clock, to take home.
Now await an update on Monday.

Tyre pressure service will just require tyre pressures checking and adjusting, then tyre pressure monitor recalabrating which you do in sensus. Most likely one tyres has lost a few psi.

Some of these service required warnings are just user fixes, like cleaning sensors or checking pressures.
In diry road conditions you may get parking sensors require service which only requires the sensors wiping clean.
You may get a message parking pilot or sensors not available whe you are doing 70 mph on a motorway, you may think it is a fault or sensus glitch as you are not using them, but it just telling you they wont or may not be available when you may require them and are going to park or reverse, so you know not to rely on them, usually because the sensor requires cleaning.

I agree with what you say, but in this instance, not that simple.

On starting the car the amber warning appeared, flashed for 1 minute and then went solid, followed by the message: Tyre pressure system Service required.
This points to a fault with the ITPMS system.
Several attempts, via Sensus to try and recalibrate failed, as everything was blanked out, with only the link to Owners Manual, being active.

I received a text message at 08:03 on Saturday to say the car was back in the workshop, followed by a phone call at 12:00, saying further investigation to fix the fault would need to be carried out on Monday.

I had the '12v system service required' message yesterday when I used the car (V90) in the afternoon.
It had been all fine in the morning but the car had been parked in the hot sunlight for several hours and the parking climate timer was in progress when I started the car and got the message in the afternoon.

I drove for about five miles, message still stored in the sensus screen, parked the car, walked the dog, returned to the car and hey presto, message gone and also deleted from the message centre!

I'm thinking it may have been down to (a) hot weather and (b) parking climate making a demand on the battery?

Will need to see if it returns, but as at this morning, all fine still.

Default 12v System Service Required?

Got in the 90 this morning and saw this caution light. Could find any thing on line until I found this thread. Does anyone have any updates to what caused this.

The car was fully charged this morning, a cool day when I started up to find this. Drove the normal 25 miles commute to work with no issue but light remained on and I depleted the charge by about 60 with is normal based on the commute. Evening return home same cool temps same 25 miles and same caution light displayed. Car is currently charging without in issue indicated on the app.

Will be calling the service dept tomorrow, will definitely post what I find. Thanks T
