Default XC90 54 Reg, not revenge over 2500 RPMs

Hi, I was hoping anyone can help. I have an XC90, 54 Reg, and all of a sudden it won't rev over 2500 RPMs. I have checked the EGR valve and it's fine. I'm thinking it is turbo related, but if anyone has has this problem lease can you help. As I feel I'm missing something.

Get it plugged in to VIDA or other Volvo compatible gear - it will likely tell you exactly what the problem is and avoid any poke and hope diagnosis.

I'm away until 2 April, then in self-iso until mid-April, but if you haven't had any joy by then, let me know.

Cheers

Dave

If it's a 185 BHP likely cause (amongst many) is DPF or CAT temp sensor but best to plug in to be sure....

Very much this, otherwise you will just be guessing at the problem. The car is limiting the fuel to the engine to protect it.
