Default V60 2013 poor dipped beam

Sorry to post a thread about headlights, I am sure the answer will be on another post but I can't get the forum search facility to work ??......

Just had the first night time jaunt in the new, to me, V60.

Whilst the main beam is pretty much spot on the dipped beams seem to be very poor. I have vehicles twice the age of the V60 and they are really good.

The suspect is that the dipped beam may well be the original bulbs, plus they are running all the time maybe they are "tired", so I intend to change them for, perhaps Philips / Osram type night vision versions .

Or maybe the new Osram H7 LED NIGHTBREAKERS...??

Are they just standard type, H7 ???
Heat problems?
Any recommendations?

The Volvo Bulbs are H7 Long-Life from the dealer. you get several years being used as Day Running lights.
First thing to check is the alignment.. is the reflector ok, and the lens not faded?

I must agree with you. I have a V60 2013 and the headlights on dip are not as good as I think they should be. I have the proper bulbs and have had the alignment checked, cleaned the glass and checked the reflectors. With no improvement so I presume that's just how they are.

I have now replaced the originals with Philips X-treme H7 and they are definitely brighter but I have yet to see if they are better night time experience !!!
