V40 T4 for sale
I'm trying to find a new home for my T4.
It's not a normal T4 anymore. I thought the chassis needed help to deal with the 200hp, so had adjustable height and ride GAZ shocks, strut brace and 17 arcadias fitted. Then the chassis was nice and tight so I had a RICA Chip to 235bhp. Over time with a number of adjustments and four wheel alignments - I got it set to a comfortable family level of useablility. It's a pretty firm ride and pretty quick with an average of 30mpg. I have had it lower and firmer, (a track setting) but its never been on a track and it proved way too hard for a family car and too low for our country roads and those annoying pillow bumps. New MOT and service in July, new pilot tyres and new Turbo in June. There's a few niggles that need someone with more time to attend to. Ten year old body and alloys and a mullered front splitter (lost middle bit in the snow). Those GAZ shocks could do with a shim at the top mount because they creak at slow speeds when steering lock to lock - parking basically. It's never bothered me enought to sort out. Other normal v/s40 niggles - sorted - I had the loom under the rad fixed. Fairly standard volvo niggles - temperamental heater control (spent about £350 replacing parts that were n't broken) now the garage says they have found a faulty connection and can bypass it. (Climate control is fine though). It's got 113k on it, 68k of those are my miles over the last three and a half years. (new belt at 70k). Full service history and reciepts for all mods and services. Even got past Mots from previous owner. Black with black leather. I've listed it on Pistonheads if you want to see photos. Happy to ansa any questions. Last edited by T4asbo; Aug 8th, 2011 at 09:17.
