Volvo 262c wanted - anything considered - Page 2

I bought that 262 from Ian last month. Needs a bit of work but it's roadworthy just now. Trying to get some parts for it before i start anything major on it.

All you guys local to me with 262`s. Im looking for one also. I used to know of one at Errol but dont kow what became of it. Theres a fire damaged one in Ireland and what looks like a decent one on Ebay in cyprus. They seem to be asking some hefty prices, are they worth it? I`m currently tooling about in a 06 xc70.

Hi Dougie, that is the one I was referring to.It is still there as far as I am aware. I can send you a picture by email if you wish.

valiant68@hotmail.co.uk I saw it in the 90`s so I wonder what state it is in now. Guy was I bit of a recluse but a good engineer with a queer penchant for Volvos.

About 5 years since I last saw it but did speak to the guy about a year ago. He loved to weld them and after having done so he would stick them in a corner of his garage. A few years ago it was choc a bloc with Volvos then one week a scrappy from Fife picked them up and took them to his scrap yard. Some good stuff there too. I will dig out the pics I have of the 262 and send to you.

Very good news. A deal has been done to save that car already by DMC12. See the second page of that thread.

Thats great.

We had one several yrs ago & had some work to get it roadworthy. Sadly had to let go of it as we didn't have the time to maintain it further.
Went to a to home and I hear it's back to it's former glory
