Hi think I have cured this, in a somewhat crude manner
The arm to the swirl flaps was already broken I had a piece of wire instead,
Disconnected the wire, pushed the arm fully in, put a piece of aluminium mesh round the arm and ( here is the rough fix) gun gummed the whole thing, ran the engine to cure it, smoke tested again no smoke leak,
Took the car for a run, wow its never ran so good pulls like a train right up the revs, no warning message
Maf is reading

1000 19.7
2000 41.5
3000 77
4000 101

Will order a new swirl flap assembly and fit it
