  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

Thanks for the info.

I have an ODB scanner but I would have thought VIDA would give me more information than a generic scanner and basic codes?

Fingers crossed it’s just some dirty contacts on the mirror heater connectors.

You are quite right VIDA will give you the precise code for your model Volvo. However, I've found it quite useful on the odd on occasion to use an ordinary OBD11 scanner to give me a quick idea of what is going on as well as where to look for a solution to a problem - VIDA is a specialised tool which whilst giving a precise fault diagnosis I find still needs to be "interpreted" from time to time.............thankfully there is a great deal of help and support with fault diagnosis to be found via this website.

Thanks for the info, I will try checking the wing mirrors first and if the connections look and work ok I will dig out my generic ODB adapter and see if that gives me more info.
