If you are DIY'ing it I should *advise* you to get it professionally degassed first (Some members get upset if you say you won't). If your going to do it without degassing like everyone seems too then take your time and stick some goggles on. The oil is fluorescent green and its a bit like shooting ET at point blank with a 12 bore shotgun.

Is there anyway to find out which condenser I need without taking the car apart? Can I rely on Eurocarparts which brings up a condenser which as both tab holes at 14.6mm when I insert my reg?

If you call Volvo they will be able to give you a part number if your lucky. That's the only other way to tell. If you do find out what one you need, this is the company I got mine from (I don't know how much Europarts are quoting).
http://stores.ebay.co.uk/coolpartsuk..._sid=658774328 I have had it in for 2/3 years now and don't have any issues with it whatsoever.

Well, Volvo begrudgingly gave me a part number of 31418513, however I haven't been able to use that info to find out what size the inlet and outlet measurements are. Can anyone help?

I think I've found out which I need, and it's the one with odd size fittings. It's only the very early C30s which would use the 14.6mm inlet and outlet.
Another question. I think I should replace the o-rings when I change the compressor. Now, I could pay a few quid each from Volvo for these or I could buy them from somewhere like here. http://www.exactrubber.co.uk/ But does anyone know what material they should be made from??! |

I'm Stuck!
I've got to the point where I should be removing the condenser and there seems like on my 2008 D5 there is quite a lot more to remove before it will come out.
Can anyone help? |

I think I may have found the info I need. It appears that my car has a radiator frame that I need to lower out of the way before I can release the condenser.
I found the information here - http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarti...eplacement.htm If anyone reads this and can confirm that before the morning I would be grateful. Thanks |
