Unhappy Elecrical problems?

Ok. This morning was taking my Mums car out and went to put on the wipers and they werent working. No front. No rear. Washers worked and that was it. Pressed the button to see if the rain sensor would work and still nowt so went to switch it off again and the dash and everything went nuts. The wipers started to work, but the heater fan would only go when the wipers were on, got an anti skid inop warning, rear park assisit service warning, and basically just about every red and amber warning light on the dash flashing. Then suddenly it all stopped except the rear park warning. That stayed on till we got to the hospital. Parked there and I went in for my appt and left Mum in the car with a mag listening to the radio. (Her choice!! Honest) I nipped out after seeing doc ad getting x ray just to let her know I wouldnt be much longer and she's in a right old state. She nodded off and was woken by a beeping nd low battery warning!! After we left hospital started fine all the warnings were off and the cars was fine. Took it for a we run out the road before heading home and all was well. So has anybody any ideas??? I WAS thinkin bad earth but couldnt see why it cleared itself again though of everything. Its under warranty but as I dont have much stock in my local dealer Id like some ideas to chuck at em!!! Cheers all

Well for everyone that threw in suggestions, it turns out it's the battery being fooked that causes all the wild disco lights on the dash board. Might be worth noting for future reference.............

Just read it, and noted for future reference.......and you have to admit, sarcastic humour takes some beating.
