Default Scrapping Dark blue P reg 960 estate auto SE London

Hi

A friend of mine is scrapping his Dark Blue P reg 960 estate auto in South East London.

If someone wants bits cheap or the whole car for £230, please post here or ring my mobile 07812 125 314 or PM me.

It has about 200 k miles
Colour is dark blue with pale leather (off white or pale beige I think) interior (seats are not perfect but I remember it being in quite good condition)
Very recent radiator (part cost approx 100, from Braydon)
Cracked windscreen
Some fault with the exhaust (no idea what fault or which section)
Radiator fan would tend to stay on when vehicle was parked, so my friend used to disconnect the battery. (Battery has now been removed for use in his new vehicle).
Taxed until end of Jan
Rubber floor mats (4 plus boot area)
Both headlight glasses cracked
Rear wiper arm has been removed
Roof rails (presume fitted as standard)
CD player head unit I think (no changer in boot)
Engine has slight blow from oil filler cap (if cap removed) when running but probably just normal for mileage
Auto gearbox believed fine.
Original alloys with 205 55 R 16 tyres
I'll look tomorrow to see if it has Nivomats
Front indicator lenses (clear) are good
Rear lens clusters are good
Has sunroof - believed working

Apart from the faults mentioned above I believe everything worked but if possible I will check for specific items if requested and if time allows.

Sorry about short notice but decisions will probably need to made tomorrow (Sunday 23 Jan 2011)

Thanks
Steve

Hi TC

The pale leather is off white or pale beige.
I dont remember and I wont find out until I see the car again tomorrow.
(I have edited the original post)

I'll save the blanking cover clips. I'll try to test the fob(s). Where is the alarm relay?

Steve

Think the relays are behind the kick panels on the dash (can't remember exactly as it's been a while, lol). Cheers.

Hi 96024v

It will definitely be got rid of either today or if not today then certainly by the end of the month, so if you want it you have to buy it today or tell me what you want very soon.

In my opinion because of the cracked screen, high mileage and exhaust problems, it is not worth fixing, but (subject to the exhaust problem that I dont know details about) it is driveable.

Sorry it is so last minute.

Steve

Steve,
the only thing that puts me of is the car is in London and i'm in Campbeltown 4 hours from Glasgow and as its only taxed till the end of the month and i'm assuming its out of MOT i would be struggling to get down before the end of the month, mileage, condition and work needed doesn't put me off. maybe in view off all this i should maybe bow out and let you scrap it much as it goes against the grain.

PS

The radio is a 805 unit. I will try to find out the code.
Left rear brake light cluster lens is cracked. Right hand side is OK
Exhaust was damaged when driving over a speed bump but has been repaired with a U clamp and exhaust paste.

Hi steve do you happen to know which alloys it has?and are the tyres any good?

And did you manage to find out about the rear suspension?Nivomats or not?I may be very interested in the whole car dependant on the above.
Regards Brian.
