'Gasp' noise when starting car from cold
My car is a V70 T5 2005.
Rcently it has started to make a 'gasp' noise when starting from cold. It last about 1 second, almost like air being released from somewhere. Doesnt sound 'right' however. Any ideas please Jon |

If it sounds like air it probably is. Quick trip around the charge air hoses and clamps?

Have a a listen to the servo area or the y-piece that comes off the intake, the check valves inside the y-piece may not be seating properly, letting the servo vacunm escape overnight, then 'GULP' on first start up of the day when re-establishing vacunm.
In fact, you may even be able to replicate this by depleting the vac inside the servo with a few pumps of pedal before start up. |
