'Facelift' centre console compatibility?

Hi all - just a very quick query. The centre console (between the seats) is damaged on my 53 plate pre-facelift S60. I cannot seem to get a used replacement, but I can get facelift versions (2004 onwards). Are they interchangeable? Or did Volvo cunningly shift fixing positions?

Just hunted around other forums. While it does seem possible, I'm unsure about the black/grey matching. There also is the small issue of the radio/climate surround.
