£250 isn't bad to be fair. I'll probably go and speak to them the next day off I get.

Yeah I'm fully aware cars need attention. I've had plenty of vintage cars and still do. The main thing that surprises me is how seized every nut and bolt I try to undo is. I seem to snap or break most of them. I've never had it as bad as this on any other vehicle. But it's not defeated me, I will have this car up to standard!

Also the running noise has got more frequent and louder. It seems to happen after I've been driving for a while and only at low speeds. I'll get the front wheel off and investigate at the weekend

One issue I'm having is with steering also. Sometimes the steering has a mind of its own. I feel as if when I get to a certain speed and the progressive steering kicks in and tightens it all up, if I need to turn left it's like I have to overcome quite a bit of resistance before it suddenly gives way and becomes light again. And at low speeds the steering it's all over the place and twitches especially when I break. I have a feeling that maybe be because the brakes need sorting. The PAS pump does constantly whine too. Could this mean the pump is on the way out?

Its at the maximum level

I have also done a complete flush of the PAS fluid and put some Lucas power steering stuff in which is meant to alleviate stiff steering and its pretty much the same as it was before
