P2 alarm siren, modified
Next on the list of P2 bits to get rid of.
Modified alarm siren. This is a working siren which I modified to remote mount the battery pack. The twisted pair of wires coming out of it are the battery connections. It’s been stored a long time, but without a battery installed so should still be good. The black box housed the battery pack, although it is showing dead on my meter so I’ve just bought a new 7.2v battery to power it. Sold the car before fitting it, so it’s now on here. I will not disassemble it to remount the battery internally or remove bits of it as I was asked by someone when I last mentioned I had it. £40 posted or £35 collected, Preston PR3 area. |

Do you have a photo of the Siren and details of the part number please? Trying to work out if this would be suitable for our 2004 XC90.
Thanks. |

Don’t know the part number, this is the siren.
Thought I’d put the picture on the first picture but looks like I suffered finger trouble! |

And the connection.
Looks like there’s a number that ends in 709, only noticed it on the photo. |

Thanks for the photos.
Did you actually have this working after the mod, or is it untested as is? Thanks again. |

Was working on my original S60. That met a sad end, so I recovered various bits including this, but never got round to fitting on on either of my V70’s. Now I’ve moved to a P3 car it’s no use to me.
One thing I will say, I’m only 95% sure which way the connections to the remote battery are. Who ever installs it will need to check with a meter, or have a look inside. It’s only held together with silicone once it’s out of the cage. Last edited by reggit; Jul 25th, 2020 at 12:17. |
