Alternator pulley failure

Hello just a word of warning to anyone who has changed there aux belts and tensioner lately on their D5 without changing the freewheel pulley on their alternator just had my one fail as noticed a grinding sound from the aux belt area and discovered the pulley was grinding against the alternator housing leaving metal shavings around the area happy I caught it before it seized completely and took out the timing belt just thought I’d give everyone a heads up 😅👍

Yes good info, the pulley is a failure item, this is the one for many Volvo D5 but check dimensions first:
