Sorry for not getting back sooner, still not managed to get the diagnostic software, I was coming back from my sisters yesterday and the coolant light came on again, topped it up this morning to Max and left the car parked, went for a drive earlier and the light came on again. Topped up again when the car cooled and when popping to the shops earlier it started pluming white smoke and stinking of coolant, I’m now thinking it’s head gasket gone? I only purchased it last month so I’m going to get in touch with the garage about a refund or repair.

What does the underside of the oil cap look like, can you smell coolant, is it creamy in colour either under the oil cap and or in the coolant resi?

Oil cap looks fine and there is no cream anywhere, the coolant itself has slight browny deposits in there which I am guessing is either rust or oil.

Just an update, car has been with the garage and they are replacing the head gasket and skimming the head, I hope this solves this issue!
