V70R with stiff clutch pedal
So the clutch on my V70R works perfectly..until its parked up for the weekend then when I first start to use it the clutch pedal will be sticky and can stay down when you push it in. You can usually get it to come back up by either pressing on it again or pulling at the edge of it with your foot, makes driving very difficult (especially hill starts). After 15 mins or so it free's up and its fine, its fine in every day use as well.. The clutch was replaced fairly recently (including release bearing) and it was well greased with copper grease on the input shaft so I have no idea whats causing it. anyone got any ideas what could be causing this? its driving me daft..

From my knowledge but very little experience in this except for my sisters early Mini, the spline should not be greased. Grease picks up dust from the drive plate friction material and this "mud" can cause just the sort of problem you are experiencing.

That is exactly my understanding - have never greased an input shaft.
