Default 2000 C70 Which ATF ??

Can someone please tell me which is the correct Automatic Transmission Fluid to use in. 2000 C 70 2 litre. What exactly do I ask for when ordering??

If your car has the 4 speed automatic, you should use a synthetic ATF like Mobile 1.

If your car has the 5 speed automatic, only use JWS3309. Toyota also sells this much cheaper than VOLVO.

Thanks for the reply Klaus, how can I tell if my car is a 4 speed or 5 speed ?.I am in Ireland and need to know what to order from here, Mobile 1 is not available

Post a picture of your gear lever console and we'll be able to tell.

From memory, my S70R has the 4spd auto box. On the gear lever console it has 3 buttons, 'E' / 'S' / 'W'.

My C70's have the 5 spd auto box and they only have 1 button 'W' on the gear lever console.

The shift lever for the 4 speed has P,R,N,D,3,L.

It has P--R-N-D-3-2-1 W button on the bottom and shift lock override on top right

Flush every 40K if you've the 5 Speed.

Mannol produce a very decent JWS3309. Far cheaper.
