Default Car Insurance & Volvo World Record Attempt.

I've just checked my Insurance documents from my new Provider and come across something I have never noticed before on other policies in the past.

Should the Volvo World Record Attempt in June at Elvington Airfield go ahead
as planned, it looks like I won't be insured at the event!
I wonder how many others have this clause in their car insurance policy and hope to attend the meeting?

Without double checking I'm pretty sure my policy has something like that, I'd always viewed it as not covering rallying but as you say it would probably include the record attempt type event too. I also see you are not covered for going to work, OK if you don't need it but wouldn't suit me either. Just goes to show it's worth checking then documents to be sure you've got what cover you might need.

I know before retiring I had to opt for commuting on top of the social/domestic/pleasure in order to use them for going to work.I'm not covered for motor sport events but hardly think a steady parade would come under that clause but will check with provider on that.

pretty standard "get outs" by the in-sewer-rats
"most" will have the same or Very similar exclusions

you Can contact your in-sewer-rats agent and purchase cover For the event, **usually

Hi.
You'll find that this is fairly common with most insurers.
You may find you would need a track day insurance for any event that takes place on a race track.
Regards,
Dan.
