What is that rattling?!

I have an annoying and very noticeable rattle started in the area (I think) in front of the driver (RHD) maybe scuttle or wheel arch or maybe engine Bay Area just can’t figure out where. Only a problem when the car goes over a hole or bump in the road. Anyone had this and know what it is? 2009 XC60 AWD D5

This may be a bit left field but are you convinced it's the front ?

Handbrake shoes can rattle against the backplates when going over a bump (or when "potholing"!). Try passing over some bumps with the handbrake gently applied. If no difference at least you can discount it.

look at the top spring mount these fail all the time also check bottom ball joint
