240 GLT saloon for sale
Hello - here is a list of some of what's been done to it. I bought it sight unseen off the forum from a farm in wales Feb 2013 as a non runner, had it shipped up north and have been working on it ever since. Mileage is nearly 200,000. Paint code is 214-3 and has black leather interior - the best combination in my opinion. I enjoy the doing up part and I have another project car and as this one is just about done Maybe it's time to move it on. TBH I'm not that interested in giving it away so I'm looking for offers around £2000 depending on what spares come with it. Bring cash and there will be some movement but leave your mike brewer techniques at home! This car is turn key (starts first time every time and runs real sweet and happy to do test drives). Body shows lots of wear and tear (it must have had an eventful life) and interior wearing away nicely - especially drivers seat. Mot august.
Replaced rotor arm, rotor cap, plug and king leads, new NGK spark plugs fitted new fuses and refurbished fuse box new fuel injection relay (and spare included) Replaced injector seals New filter and oil change service (regularly done) New fuel filter and bracket Replaced air filter Replaced torque convertor, AW71 gearbox and fitted new kick down cable Fitted new headlights (£150) Fitted New water pump replenished Black leather interior and fitted replacement (OE) door cards with Sony speakers electric aerial (chrome as in photo) but since replaced with original Fitted replacement windscreen washer motor (essential to replace this) Refurbished alternator (Charge electrical) and new matched pair drive belts Replaced power steering pump/motor and belt 4 New tyres – mid range hardly any miles on these (£200) Replaced bonnet release cable Replaced bonnet hinges with modified lowered units Replaced horns Repaired and replaced petrol tank (£150) Rear chassis welded (by professional) Radiator flushed, K –sealed, and anti-freeze renewed Various bulbs and switches replaced/contacts cleaned using special technique (toothbrush!) New battery (still under guarantee) brand new front brakes - discs, calipers (over £100 each) pads, anti squeal shims, new clips - braking system bled etc. (£300+) new steering rack tie rods and one track rod end front anti roll bar bushes (standard) some rear bushes done Brand new pressed aluminium number plates probably loads more done and sadly I have a detailed build sheet with dates on - I need to get out more! How many 240 GLT's Automatics left
31.7 million cars on Britain's roads but only another 39 licensed 1989 240 GLT autos - so your chances of meeting another one are--- slim!

Price increase
Not offered for sale anywhere else and not even any time wasters to complain about (genuine thanks you guys) therefore price increase. Did a classic car show last week probs 200 cars there and just one 240 (mine). Lots of interest which was fun.... 30 mile round trip to work and back today (classic car Friday!) in the rain never missed a beat and some idiotic micro car drowning in the 2.3 litre fumes when I floored it on the straights....now £2500.....find another if you can....

Wierd coincidence
hi I do have a 1982 flat nose bonneted cheese grater grilled b21a four door four speed with o/d - but it's a dl not a GLT and it's a sort of faded maroon. I last saw a red GLT about 4 years ago at Scotch Corner - not seen since and I think you'd be lucky to find one. Being the only low milage with history '82 240 left in the uk (I think) you would need at least a trans am plus cash haha...
