If you need to change the screen then I'd suggest you change just the screen and not the complete ICM module. The module handles the car's MOST security and is coded, it requires software to install a new one.

If you can source a donor module of similar type you should be able to change the screen only fairly easily.

Good point. A previous car had reverse screen in the menu, didn't cure the problem but made it less visible.

If you need to change the screen then as others have said you will need to find a donor unit that you can swap the screens over on as the units can only be coded once to a vehicle and are then "locked in". It may be screen bleed as others have said but it may be a bit of dirt between the LCD screen and the back light panel. Its unlikely but possible.

I changed the LCD in mine due to exactly the same issue. Really quite easy. The instructions were here but I've unfortunately deleted the pictures I took (sorry)...

I bought a post facelift waterfall to upgrade my pre facelift aluminium and both the screen and the keypad module worked straight away, literally just plug and play, no coding required. In fact the only issue I had was that some of the features didn't match up, my car has heated seats but the keypad didn't have the switches and the screen showed other menu features not present on my car, so I have a post facelift screen in perfect condition going spare if you want to make me an offer VCC Part number 31268051
