Engine running problem in cold weathers
Hello!
Volvo S60 2005 D 5244 T2, 96kW Problem started 2-3 yrs ago with -15...-20deg weather. Engine starts like new but after some km driving it motor starts to go into limp mode and shuts down bit later. switch ignition off turn it on it works like new and it happens again. problem cycles until motor was at some temperature. Last winters was very light and problem had no chance to occure because its 100% temperature sensitive. this winter it has gone worse. now if temp is below -7. Diagnostic info says error fuel preassure to low. I checked rail preassure during driving it never went to 0 it changed a lot lets say 30 000 - 80 000 in some units. I dont know how much it has to be and can it vary that much depend on motor rpm. Tank pump also works good and filter change does not make any difference. Fuel quality it cannot be also. Any hints to me what to suscpect? car is driven 340 000. And important notice is temperature sensitive. //Edited post Forgot to add maybe important quession how long the rail must hold the fuel preassure? for me it is basicaly falls instantly to 0 after shutting down motor. Can it be a problem. Logic says to me that if everything is closed it must hold preassure but other hand it is also ok it falls to 0 and is pumped up for every start?
