I've got a XC40 T4 Auto AWD on order at the moment for delivery in May. I don't tow and generally only do less than 10K per year. I had a good test drive and it felt like it had all the power I need for the sort of driving I do.

I suppose only time will tell if I made the right decision.

Hello! What are your impressions from your XC40 T4? I am particularly interested in engine power/performance. Thanks!

I'm very happy with my T4. It's comfortable, quiet and does well on the rough tracks on the farm where I live. The only thing I was unhappy about was the car was delivered with summer tyres fitted. Given the sort of conditions where I live, I had them replaced on delivery with all seasons tyres.

The power and performance is more than enough for my needs. Especially in dynamic mode. Acceleration is excellent and makes overtaking easy in most circumstances. I spend most of my driving time in eco mode and just switch to other modes as I need them.

I have no regrets in choosing the T4.

It's also not just about the NOx, there's also the manufacturing process involved (already shown) and the particulates you don't get with petrols.. I've never seen black smoke spewing out of a petrol's exhaust on the roads but see that daily from diesels.
You have never seen black smoke from the back of a euro 6 diesel. Do make sure you are comparing apples with apples.

For what it is worth my XC40 T4 AWD has an average full consumption of 34 mpg over 11,000 miles, I'm really happy with the car, but hardly driving it these days due to working from home.
