C30 flick start problems
Hi folks.
My c30 T5 has flick start and it stopped working yesterday. Now about a year ago it stopped working and when I tried the spare key it worked again. Now I have two keys which won't work the flick start. I'm wondering wether the batteries need changing in the keys. It's a 2007 model. Any help would be brilliant. I love the flick start and use it each time I start it, so I want it to work. Please help. MarkT5 |

Maybe a fob option to start??
Or the preheat option for starting the car on the driveway before you get in it?? |

Volvo call it autostart, you just flick the key to the starter position and let go the car just starts. I like it too

Interesting to read. My wife's C30 T5 has this option too and I noticed a few days ago that it no longer works; instead of briefly turning the starter knob and releasing, it now has to be held "conventionally" until the engine has caught. No great pain! No "key voltage low " message is not displayed but none-the-less I will try a new battery and see what happens.

Flick start only works on the D2 and 5 cylinder engines...

I've driven the C30 three times since my last post - and flick start worked each time despite doing nothing to troubleshoot!
